With constant war raging on in the world it is safe to know that Bethesda Games has provided a radioactive fallout simulator on mobile devices. What I am talking about is the brand new IOS game called Fallout Shelter. If you are not familiar with the Fallout franchise, it is basically a survival game where players must interact with other survivors in the Wasteland, (the open world) complete missions, and overall try to survive for as long as possible. Unlike the main franchise where players take on a single character in a 3rd person view, this mobile game lets gamers control an entire civilization of people living in a shelter. As time goes on players will have to expand/upgrade their base, fend off invaders, and reproduce to see if they can start a new civilization in the Wasteland.

In this game players look over the shelter trying to maintain 3 important requirements: electricity, food, and water.

Electricity

This is the most important resource in the game because without it people will not work. Players must make sure that they have enough electricity for their shelter by building power rooms because if there is not enough power rooms will shut down and workers will stop working slowing down the process of food, water, and other supplies needed in the Wasteland.

Food

What really keeps them happy is allowing them to “get it on” when you leave a male and a female together in the bedrooms so this will help boost happiness and will recreate the population. Overall this is important because happiness gives you a boost to the creation of resources and everyday the game rates the shelter you have and having an A+ rating will give you the most possible money to upgrade your base.

The main difficulty when playing this game is not mistakes that will simply destroy your entire civilization. The most important tip I could give when playing this game is take your time, upgrading things too fast or reproducing too fast can kill off your population because resources can run out quickly when upgrades are not made gradually. Besides that always keep a few caps (the currency in the game) just in case your characters die so that you can revive them and make sure to complete the missions to unlock lunchboxes which basically give players many great items like weapons, characters, and caps.
